After harvest 2017 Fabien Bergeronneau was so impressed with the wine in one specific barrel, he insisted on making a single wine with it. A still wine. An unusual choice for a young winemaker on a champagne domain. But it turned out to be a very good wine.
This blend of meunier and pinot noir has a nice round mouthfeel and lovely acidity: this is what Champagne also has to offer. Oh, the barrel had a name: #17. Fabien Bergeronneau named his first wine after it.
