Grandfather Guy Bouvet started his champagne label in 1970 in Montagne de Reims, now it is his grandson Antoine's turn. Nowadays the twentysomething is the champagne maker of this small family domain with vineyards around Mareuil-sur-Ay. Here, pinot noir is the number one grape, chardonnay being the second.
In the vineyards Antoine applies biodynamic practices, in cellar he choses spontaneous fermentation and reduces human intervention as much as possible.
Production is limited: of every cuvee Antoine Bovet produces no more than about 1000 bottles.
