l'Apôtre blanc de blancs LV11
With top cuvee l'Apôtre David Léclapart shows how a complex blanc de blancs is made in the village of Trépail. The chardonnay grapes come from the vineyard La Pierre St Martin, planted in 1946, they are vinified in old barrels from Burgundy. With indigenous yeasts and malolactic fermentation the maker aims for a wine full of character. After second fermentation the champagne is allowed 30 months on its lees in cellar. The code LV11 refers to the vintage year: 2011.
