Vintage 2012 rose
Nicely dry rose blend of pinot noir and meunier, made through the saignée method: after harvest must and grape skins spend several hours in tank together. That's how the grape juice gets its pink color. The vines, growing on clay and limestone soils in the Marne valley, are about forty years old.
Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts takes place in small aged oak barrels, malolactic fermentation is allowed.
A light colored rose with a fruity start and a nice dry finish. Try it with grilled fish or spicy food.
