Moët & Chandon

The Moët & Chandon Champagne House

The champagne house Moët & Chandon is located in the village of Épernay in the Champagne region. It is the largest champagne house in this region and was founded in 1743 by Claude Moët. The Chandon was later added to the name because in 1832 a son-in-law named Chandon became part of the company. Did you know that even Napoleon found Moët & Chandon's champagnes and wines particularly unique? Napoleon was even friends with family member Jean-Rémy Moët. Over the years, the champagne house gradually became the symbol of success and elegance.

The largest Champagne producer

The champagne house is by far the largest producer of champagnes. Naturally, their enormous budget allows them to engage most well-known figures for marketing. Many famous stars have become ambassadors for the brand. The champagne house's vineyard covers more than 1000 hectares! However, this is not nearly enough to meet demand. That is why many grapes are purchased from farmers in the Champagne region. The grapes are always selected for the best quality to maintain the consistent taste of Moët.

Would you really get to know the village and champagne house Moët & Chandon? Then take a visit on location! Guided tours and presentations are organized regularly. If you are on holiday in France and are close to the Champagne region. Then a visit to champagne house Moët & Chandon is definitely worthwhile!

Working together with Hennessy and Louis Vuitton

In 1987, champagne house Moët & Chandon started collaborating with cognac brand Hennessy and fashion brand Louis Vuitton. Today these brands are known as the LVMH Group with a very strong presence in five sectors within the luxury industry. Through the collaboration they have greatly increased their global positive impact. Partly because of this collaboration, they have been able to set up many projects and they have a marketing budget that you can count on. The brands are known worldwide as the most prestigious brands.

Our selection

Moet has produced many unique champagnes over the years. Some of these champagnes are very exclusive and others are common. Whichever champagne you choose from Moet & Chandon. You will experience the elegant, fresh and full taste of Moët!

Ice Imperial en de Rosé variant

Moët's Ice Imperial is a unique slightly sweet champagne. It is a delicious champagne that you can drink 'on the rocks'. So it is a champagne that goes well with ice! That makes this champagne unique. Normally you wouldn't drink champagne with ice. This would be a shame for the taste of the champagne. This is actually recommended for Brut Imperial and the Rosé variant! The champagne consists of 40 to 50% Pinot Noir, 30 to 40% Pinot Meunier and 10 to 20% Chardonnay. It has a rich and intensely fruity taste. Ice Imperial has become very popular and is often served in beach clubs near Miami or Los Angeles.

Imperial Brut

Moët's Impérial Brut is the most popular champagne. It seems that every 1.5 seconds a Brut champagne is popped somewhere in the world! The champagne is in fact the personality of Moët & Chandon's corporate identity. The quality is consistent and is very accessible. If you are going to try a Moët champagne, we recommend that you go for an Imperial Brut first. The champagne is excellent to drink as an aperitif, but also on special festive occasions. The champagne has a pleasant 'dry' aftertaste and has aromas of lime blossom, bread dough and toast. Did you know Moët's Brut Impérial was a favorite of Napoleon? The Impérial Brut is highly recommended as a gift. For example, consider a business gift or birthday.

Rosé Imperial

Do you like a good rosé? Then Moët's Rosé Impérial is a real must-try! This rosé is distinguished by its fruitiness, seductive taste and ripeness. The champagne has aromas of strawberries, red berries and a light pepper. The champagne also has a nice aftertaste and is full and smooth in taste. You can drink champagne as an aperitif or with dinner. The champagne, together with the Brut Impérial, is a wonderful gift to give as a business gift.

Nectar Imperial en Rosé

Are you looking for a slightly sweeter (demi-sec) champagne? Then the Nectar Imperial and the rosé variant are highly recommended. The champagne is characterized by a fresh fruitiness and mature ripeness. This is due to the unique assembly of this champagne. Only the best grapes are used in combination with the unique reserve wines of champagne house Moët & Chandon. The champagne has aromas of exotic fruits and a unique taste palette. This means that champagne goes well with eating snacks and food.

Grand Vintage Blanc en Rosé

Do you want to serve a very unique and exclusive champagne on a special occasion? Then the Grand Vintage Blanc is really a perfect choice. The champagnes are produced with grapes from a unique harvest year. In French, the vintages are called champagnes millésime. The champagne house Moët & Chandon has produced more than 75 vintage champagnes since 1842. Each vintage is unique and has different aromas and flavors.

Yet the corporate identity of Moët & Chandon remains clearly recognizable in these champagnes. If you want to drink a unique champagne for a special occasion or purchase it as a unique gift. Then the Grand Vintage Blanc and Rosé variant is the perfect choice. At L'Atelier du Champagne we have put together a unique range to introduce you to these champagnes.

Dom Pérignon

Looking for the most prestige champagne? Then you don't have to look any further. The Dom Pérignon is the most exclusive Moet champagne. The champagne is regularly sold out because of its popularity worldwide. Naturally, this champagne is a vintage that is produced with only the best grapes from a specific harvest year. The name is a reference to a cellar master who played an important role in the development of champagne.
