Vintage 2013
The vintage of 2013 makes a beautiful connection with lovely past of late harvest wines. In winter the vines had to deal with a lot of cold weather, including lots of rainfall that continued until deep into spring. The gray and depressing weather delayed budding of the vines with about two weeks. This delay continued until the harvest. Summer was extremely sunny and dry, and set the record for the region. All for the wellbeing of the grapes, of course. The harvest at Dom Pérignon begins on September 28.
After having spend 8 years in the cellars, this wine reveals a perfect balance between acidity, structure and body as you may expect from this iconic house in Hautvillers. Very pleasant to drink now, but probably even beter to keep in the cellar for more expression.
- pinot noir & chardonnay
- brut: 0-12 gr/liter
- aging: +/- 8 years 'sur lattes'
