l'Atelier Box: rose
Spring: time for color, time for rose.
From pale to colorful light red, most champagne domains produce a rose. In this bright box we collected three of our favorite rose champagnes. Great as an aperitif or with a spring dish.
As opposed to other wine regions in France, in Champagne wine makers are allowed to make rose by blending white with a little bit of red. Et voila: a pink wine. The saignée ('bleeding') method is also permitted. In that case you use skin maceration for some time, to let the juice absorb the color of the grape skins.

- Lacourte Godbillon: rose - refined, elegant: a lovely aperitif
- Dehours: Oeil de Perdrix - very pale, fruity rose made of mostly meunier
- Brocard Pierre: Saignée de la Côte - an explosion of color and flavor, the pinot noir grapes received extensive skin maceration.
