Roederer's vintage champagne consist of mostly pinot noir from Montagne de Reims, and chardonnay. Wonderful champagne from great vintage years: about one third of the grapes receives oak aging, the champagne is allowed years in cellar. Round ripe fruit, nice freshness and a hint of toast: the Roederer vintage champagnes offer beautiful complexity.

This champagne is from great vintage year 1996, in which a warm summer delivered full ripe fruit. Pinot noir especially did very well. This vintage champagne has some caramel and toast in the aroma, ripe yellow fruit, biscuit and a delicate mousse: a terrific glass from a terrific vintage year. Enjoy it now.
