Vintage 2012 brut nature Philippe Starck
A great combination: Roederer and Philippe Starck. Classic champagne domain Roederer is well known for its elegant, refined champagnes and its ecological engagement: the vineyards are worked organically or biodynamically. Designer Philippe Starck is famous for his interior an applied design. The two parties got together for this great, very dry champagne presented in a beautiful, eye catching box.
The grapes were picked in vintage year 2012, which started off with challenging hail and frost: the yield was low. However, summer was good and 2012 ended up being a great vintage year. The champagnes are ready to drink now.
Fifteen percent of the wine was vinified in oak, malolactic fermentation was blocked. Nice ripe fruit, wonderful freshness: a lovely dry champagne with a long finish.
