Roederer's vintage champagne consists of mostly pinot noir from Montagne de Reims, and chardonnay. Wonderful champagne from great vintage years: about one third of the grapes receives oak aging and the champagne is allowed years in cellar. Round ripe fruit, nice freshness and a hint of toast: the Roederer vintage champagnes offer beautiful complexity.
Vintage year 2014 was not easy: after a warm and dry spring, a damp summer followed. Only towards September sunshine made for a good finish. In Montagne de Reims pinot noir did really well.
