Comtes de Champagne 2006 rose (giftbox)
In 1952 Taittinger launched its top cuvee Comtes de Champagne, produced only in very good vintage years. The rose is made of chardonnay from grand cru villages in Côtes de Blancs, pinot noir comes from Montagne de Reims. The red wine that creates the pink color is made of grapes from Bouzy. This champagne is a celebration in itself.
After second fermentation the champagne is allowed about ten years of aging in the Taittinger quarries beneath Reims. Comtes de Champagne rose is a rich, elegant champagne with wonderfully ripe flavours: fresh red fruit with a hint of cacao.
2006 was a great vintage year, this champagne is a wonderful drink now.
