Fresh, expressive, powerful almost. Made from pinot noir, partly wood-aged, this is a champagne to taste quietly. The name Mi-Pentes refers to the vineyards, around Ecueil, located halfway up the slopes. A lively, exciting, complex blanc de noirs that is best served with grilled fish.

Lacourte Godbillon

Her ancestors were already growing champagne grapes, her grandparents started making their own champagne after World War II, and in 1968 her parents merged their names for their champagne estate: Lacourte Godbillon. Géraldine Lacourte grew up among grapes. After an initial career in other directions, she returned to the family vineyards to take over the business with her husband Richard in 2006. Géraldine and Richard now manage eight hectares of vineyards in premier cru commune Écueil, in Montagne de Reims. Pinot noir is the main grape, with 85% planted, the remainder being chardonnay. With a small team, they work the vineyards without the use of pesticides.
