Coteaux champenois: more and more winemakers in Champagne are experimenting with still wines. Fabien Bergeronneau is one of them. After his studies and first work experience in Alsace, Fabien returned to the vineyards around Ville-Dommange, just south of Reims, that his father and grandfathers have worked on.
Within the family domain Bergeronneau-Marion he now takes his own steps. The first wine the twentysomething (and gifted danser) made was a still white. Rather an effort to train his skills than an attempt to revolutionize the family business. Still, Fabien is full of plans: red coteaux champenois. And bubbles, of course.
