For generations the Boutiilez family has been producing champagne in Villers-Marmery, a premier cru village in Montagne de Reims. Pinot noir may dominate the vineyards in this area, chardonnay is the number one in this village. Marc Boutillez is now head of family domain Boutillez-Guer. More and more daughter Manon is stepping out of his shadow. Trained as a nurse, she decided to continue the family profession in 2019. With succes. In 2021, at the tenth edition of the young talent competition Les Jeunes Talents du Champagne, Manon Boutillez became finalist in the chardonnay category.

Under her own name Manon Boutillez launched a series of promising champagnes with distinctive colorful labels. With eighty percent plantings in over five hectares of vineyard, chardonnay is king in the Boutillez-Guer portfolio. Pinot noir makes up the other, small part. Organic growing practices are used in the vineyards.

The quality of Manon Boutillez's first champagnes are truly promising.
